SEVEN LUXURY CARS STOLEN IN BULGARIA

Some pictures taken last year in Sofia.

OUR FRIENDLY BULGARIAN NEIGHBOURS HAD BEEN QUITE BUSY IN THE NIGHT OF 1 MAY 2010. AFTER THE SCANDAL HAD REACHED AN EPIC POINT, SOME BULGARIAN NEWSPAPERS CLAIMED THAT ROMANIANS HAD STOLEN THEMSELVES THE CARS, WHICH IS AN INTERESTING ALLEGATION, LOOKING THE CASES OF THE PAST. HERE I POST TWO LINKS ABOUT THIS STORY. I SHOULD REMEMBER THAT IN ROMANIA THE LEVEL OF VIOLENCE IS MUCH LOWER, AS LONG HERE WEREN'T PLANTED BOMBS TO KILL JOURNALISTS, BUSINESSMEN OR ATTORNEYS

Bulgaria is the only European country that gives stolen cars
seized from thieves to its civil servants
, "Standart News" says.
Magistrates and ministry officials see nothing wrong with this, Vice
President Todor Kavaldjiev uses such a car, too. The daily publishes
Interior Minister Emanouil Yordanov's statement that in Bulgaria,
when the owners cannot be found, the cars can be used by the state
bodies.
