DOBROGEA SCYTHIA MINOR

Dobrogea or Scythia Minor is the Eastern province of modern Romania, divided in two counties: Tulcea and Constanta. This region had seen a very stormy history, being a crossroad for many tribes, since the beggining of the history. The first well known inhabitants were the Scyths, who were by default fierce horsemen. Not only men were fine riders, but also the women, and the Old Greeks told them Amazons,Ἀμαζόνες or Androktones: killers of men.
